Projects:
Suphala’s live performances benefit from the wide variety of ensembles she arranges. Recent performances include a group consisting of herself on tabla, John Hadfield and Matt Kilmer on percussion, Kinan Azmeh on clarinet, and Amir Elsaffar on trumpet.
Another collaborative project is an all- percussion trio with John Hadfield and Matt Kilmer that explores unusual time cycles.
”Electrocussion” is an electro-acoustic duo in which Suphala and John Hadfield bring their production chops and laptops to the stage along with their drums.
Currently, she is recording tracks with these musicians and others. Music and video from these projects and others will be released in 2012.
